7 September 2026 FULLWOOD LAUNCHES THE MERLIN 2+

Fullwood introduces the Merlin 2+: the next generation of leading milking robots. The Merlin 2+ was developed in close collaboration with dairy farmers and dealers, focusing on cow well-being and aiming to further enhance the features that make the robust stainless steel milking robot one of the most recognised on the market: high milk yield, low operating costs, and user-friendliness.

Fullwood CEO Maarten van Raaij: “At Fullwood, cow health is paramount. We know that comfortable and relaxed cows simply perform better. In addition, we wanted to offer a milking robot that relieves the dairy farmer of as much burden as possible. Over the last 10 years, our Merlin has become the embodiment of these principles: a healthy, relaxed cow on the one hand, and a satisfied dairy farmer on the other. With its successor, the Merlin 2+, we have sought to meet the needs of dairy farmers in the dozens of countries where we are active even better.”

Refinement & improvement

“We deliberately opted for refinement and improvement rather than radical change”, says Van Raaij. “This means that dairy farmers can still count on the features for which they appreciate our milking robot: high milk yield, low operating costs, and user-friendliness. Characteristic systems such as Streampulse, resulting in an average of 60 percent of the milk yield in the first two minutes of milking, are of course a prominent part of our proposition. Moreover, the low energy and chemicals consumption still ensures very low operational costs. The Merlin 2+ is even more compact, the controls simpler, and the number of components prone to failure even smaller. With this new machine, we are continuing a tradition of reliability and predictability.”

The Merlin 2+ will hit the market in late 2026. The current model will remain available through the first quarter of 2027.
