Familie De Bie 'The new robot feels and works familiar'

“We’ve been working with Fullwood’s Merlin for some seven years now, to our full satisfaction. The milking robot is whisper-quiet and offers plenty of space as well. You can see that cow comfort comes first. For us as dairy farmers, too, it’s a very pleasant machine. It runs 24 hours a day and maintenance is very limited. And not unimportant: it delivers a high milk yield. What’s more, in the first two minutes an average of around 65 to 68 percent of the milk is harvested.

We currently have three Merlins, and the latest one is the very newest model: the recently introduced Merlin 2+. It has been in use for a few weeks now, following a smooth installation.

The new robot feels and works familiar. You can see that the simple operation is just that bit more accessible again, and that this robust accessibility has been taken to the next level. Familiar and yet brand new.

It’s also convenient that the new model simply ties in with its predecessors. That means we don’t have to make any major changes to the way we run the farm — it’s business as usual!”
